Thursday Night Summer 2018 Round Up

The Autumn 2018 Thursday Night comp has almost reached the half way mark and some difficulties are being experienced in getting emergency players for the teams. Please keep in mind that Darren Patton should be texted prior to the emergency player starting play so that they can get a 'permit' to play from Darren. He will check their status and past matches to make sure they are OK to play in that section for that team.

As a bit of a round up:
Section 1: The Storm is on top by one point, but is facing the main
contenders, Scott Sterlings next Thursday
Section 2: The Jets are 3rd, above the Renegades (4th) and the Warriors
(6th)
Section 3: The Sparks are 5th
Section 4: Aces are only 2 points away from first, Wanderers are 4th and
Thunder 7th
Section 5: Funky squad is out in front by 8 points and Glaciers are 5th

The teething problems at the start of the season have been resolved and the comp is running fairly smoothly. Now would be the best time for Simon Rush (new Treasurer) to hand over the reins to the next Thursday Night Convenor as doing both jobs will be a bit of a stretch from time to time. Volunteers would be well received and supported over the coming months.
