Junior Tennis

Why not Come Play junior tennis on Friday nights or Saturday mornings down at the club?

It is a graded competition with teams ranked from A through to D. Generally the lower grades, C and D play on Friday nights.

Woodend teams play against other teams in the Macedon Ranges, as well as teams from Sunbury, Melton and Bacchus Marsh. The competition runs on a home and away type fixture.

The summer season runs from October to March. Each team consists of four players. Friday night teams start at 6pm and Saturday morning teams start at 8.30am.

The winter season runs from April to September. Each team consists of four players. Friday night teams start at 6pm and Saturday morning teams start at 9am.

Each team member plays three sets per match. Sets are first to 6. A, B and C grade players will play two sets of doubles and one set of singles. D grade players play three sets of doubles.

Competitors must be under 18 years at the start of each season. All players should be able to serve, before they play competition tennis.

For Junior beginners we are starting a Hot Shots tennis program. This will be aimed at the 5-9 year age group. The focus will be on basic skills and fun competitions. Express your interest below.
